A Workshop-Retreat on Trasformational Leadership

The only way to change the world is to change yourself.  

This is the essence of the Transformational Leadership workshop.  Organizational change requires a step-by-step approach.  Creating a shared vision is the first step.  Defining business focus (Mission) and a winning strategy follow.  Structure follows strategy.  Identifying key processes for breakthrough changes and starting pilot actions come next.  Re-designing systems to align them with the new vision ensures that change stays. 

Organizational transformation is a complex process.  It requires sensitive leadership, which inspires people to give their best.  When those in positions of authority demonstrate that they are beginning to change for the better, others get the necessary energy to improve their own ways of working.  


Transformational Leadership is a process of improving oneself at physical, emotional and intellectual levels.  This concept is based on the simple truth that everyone has unlimited potential deep inside, which is not being realized.  If we learn to access our own “consciousness”, we can transcend our present habits to make the desired change happen in our way of working.  

The Transformational Leadership workshop is designed specifically for leaders who want to develop insights for this journey of transformation. The workshop aims at helping leaders develop clarity on the direction they need to take for sustained personal change. 

This journey of personal transformation could be enhanced by the presence of a partner - spouse, colleague, friend, business partner or any other person who could be a good “sounding board”.   If you feel that this could also be an opportunity to express yourself authentically through a meaningful partnership, you are welcome to invite a significant person in your life to participate along with you. Further, this could be the beginning of a dialogue on how successful partnerships can be created within a unit - family, organization, or community.   It is, however, not a condition to participate in the workshop.  You are most welcome to attend alone.

Workshop Process

The Transformational Leadership workshop is an intense three-day experience of reflection and contemplation. Intense dialogue, silence, meditation and long walks in natural surroundings, story telling around the campfire, etc. are some of the features of this unique experience.

Community Building Stages

  Pseudo Community - Pretend already a community; decision-making  process and nature of relationships goes unchallenged

Chaos  - Deep differences emerge; group  tries to obliterate differences

Emptiness - Failure, hopelessness, uncertainty & ambiguity replace control; giving up personal agenda, openness and true listening occurs

Workshop Facilitator 

DINESH CHANDRA 

Dinesh Chandra is the President of Global Quality Inc, a firm specialising in organisational transformation-renewing the strategic planning process and developing the change strategy in an integrated manner-with clients around the globe.  Starting with a technical background, he learned new philosophies, such as the key to successful implementation of new technologies. He proceeded to develop a keen insight into this human aspect. As director of productivity for Coulter Corporation, he served as internal consultant to their U.S.A., U.K., France and Brazil divisions for the implementation of JIT and TQC. 

Dinesh holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering,  an MS in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Finance. He has served as Adjunct Faculty for the Graduate School of Nova and Florida International University. 

Though based at the US, Dinesh has maintained his deep-rooted links with India.  Over the last ten years he has been involved in working with several Indian companies, in areas of   Transformational Leadership, Total Quality Management,  Strategic Planning, etc.

Workshop Specifics

The workshop will begin on Day 1  at 1000 hours and conclude on Day 3 at 5PM

Location and Venue:

Participation fee: The fee is Rs 50,000/- per participant for the public workshops.  If you would like to invite a partner, the additional fee will be Rs 15,000/- 

The fees for an organization will depend on the scope and number of participants and Facilitators.

Recommendations for Participants: As the workshop involves intense and in-depth personal sharing, it is imperative that participants attend out of personal choice.  Participation is by invitation only.

Also, keeping in mind the nature of the workshop, we recommend that alcoholic beverages should not be consumed.  It would also help if telephones were used only for in-coming calls of a very important nature during the workshop.
